I am a 28 year old female. Gravida 5 Para 3 with a history of cervical dysplasia, in which resulted in surgery and a history of endometriosis. I had laparoscopic surgery approximately 2 1/2 years ago for the endometriosis. Family history, to the best of my knowledge, is hysterectomies due to fibroids. I am currently experiencing the same symptoms as I did in the past, including severe pelvic pain, abnormal periods, and painful intercourse. I went to the Dr. and a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound was ordered. Results indicate a small (1.8cm ) septated cyst on the left ovary and a small Nabothian cyst. Mild free fluid. 11mm endometrial stripe. What does this mean?

There are several things that may be going on. 1st, ovarian cysts are common and at times can be quite painful. Also, the endometriosis may have returned. Unfortunately, this happens fairly commonly.
Follow up with your gynecologist will be important to sort everything out and determine the proper treatment for you.
Best wishes.
