Hi,
i am a 33 year old mum of 3, the eldest is 5, i breastfed her for 10 months then stopped and got pregnant again without having a period.
i breastfed my second child until my milk dried up due to pregnancy with number 3. i breastfed number 3 for 18 months.
as a result i did not have a preiod for about 5 years. when they started back they were prefectly normal just as before we had children.
heavy bleeding for 3 days then tailing off for 2 further days.
i stopped breastfeeding about 5 months ago and everything was fine.
last month i got my preiod (about a week before i expected it), it was heavy blood for a day and then basically stopped. the following week there was a day of heavy blown blood then it stopped.
20 days later and i have started bleeding, brown for 15 hours and now has started with proper blood. should i be worried?

Hi,
I would not worry yet. Many menstrual irregularities are common. Brown discharge usually means old blood and your body is just "cleaning house." If it continues over several months you should schedule an appointment with your gynecologist.
Good luck
Debbie
