I had sex for the first time 8 weeks after hysterctomy (ovaries still intact). Dr said I could have after 6. During sex I experienced a fair amount of bleeding. I am still spotting a little (a few hours later). There was absolutely no pain during intercourse but it is a little uncomfortable now. Is this normal?

Hello, I expect this will not continue. But if it does, call your doctor. With your ovaries intact I would not expect excessive dryness but many women do benefit from some extra lubrication. The tissue may be a bit dry and the bleeding could be caused from that. I doubt this is caused by infection or polyps since you were so recently treated thoroughly.
Best wishes
