My periods are irregular and my cycle is 22 days instead of 28 days. Recently I discovered that I didn't start my period for eight days including the day that I was supposed to start. Yet, when I thought I was preganant; I took a preganancy test, but it came out negative. What's going on?

Hi kristi,
Sometimes the hormone that is produced during pregnancy isn't in significant amounts to be detected early on. I would suggest waiting a week or so, if your menstrual cycle doesn't appear, repeat the pregnancy test. When repeated make sure you use your first morning urine as the hormone is most prevalent at that time.
Sincerely,
Rntdj
