i had a baby nearly 5 weeks ago and had a 3rd degree internal tear. im not in any pain now but still uncomfortable. how long should i wait to have sex with my partner again? i havnt been told how long it takes to heal properly.

Hello, These tears should be mostly healed by six weeks and your doctor can check it out when you have your postpartum check up. But, you really need to listen to your body and if sex hurts, you should change tactics. Each woman heals at her own rate ultimately.
