Hello,Alpha hydroxy acids are organic acids derived from fruit source.Gycolic acid is derived from sugar cane.Generally over 10% is considered hazardous to skin and best used by professionals. This works as a cosmetic exfoliant. Information about saftey and efficacy during pregnancy and lactation is lacking with reference to fruit acids.Reference- Drugs.com Do discuss with your doctor about the same. With my good wishes for a safe pregnancy, and delivery.
