I have a boyfriend who has hemophila type a and he is reluctant to have sex. i was wondering if it was because his hemophilia is restricting him or would cause problems for him. i didnt think it would but id like to ask just to know for sure.

Hello,A very good question.While there are no factors preventing hemophiliacs having sex,he should be informed about the complication of priapism.If erections persists with out becoming flaccid for a few hours it could be a medical emergency especially in hemophliacs when untreated could lead to permanent damage.This awareness is important.Hope I have answered your question.Check whether he is bothered about this.Counselling may be required.
