(HealthDay News) -- Menopause -- the point at which a woman's menstrual cycle stops for good -- usually occurs when the ovaries stop producing the hormones estrogen and progesterone.
The Womenshealth.gov website mentions these common symptoms of menopause:
- Irregular periods.
- Hot flashes.
- Difficulty sleeping.
- Mood changes.
- Loss of interest in sex.
- Osteoporosis, weight gain or muscle loss.
