This disease has the largest prevalence among hereditary neuropathies. Several genotypes exist.

Manifestations

Motor manifestations: Stork leg appearance and frequently distal upper limb atrophy.

Sensory manifestations: loss of sensation on the peroneal nerve distribution.

Sometimes a palpable hypertrophic neuropathy due to recurrent demyelination.
