hi i am 46 yr old female i have never had any pain under my toe nails prior to 1 week ago, i had an ingrown nail and i cut it but ever since that it actually fees like my toe or nail or both are totally bruised, both toes hurt termendously when i put any kind of shoe on even socks, its very uncomfortable, i only cut the one nail but like i said both hurt.
what should i do and what could it possible be.

Hi Brandy1,
Sometimes when ingrown toenails occur they can become infected. It may be that you have an infection going on, despite your having cut the nail.
I would recommend you see your doctor, or perhaps a podiatrist for further evaluation of this.
