Question: Is Cipro A Good Antibiotic For Sinus Infection?

 iamloco724 - Fri Dec 21, 2007 5:58 pm

my dr prescribed me cipro for 10 days for what he thinks is a sinus infection is this good for treating it?

User avatar Cipro is a good, broad-spectrum antibiotic, meaning it is effective against many different bacteria. It is probably not one of the most commonly prescribed drugs for sinus infections but it could be effective. Sometimes it takes a stab in the dark to know which bacteria you are fighting and the doctor chooses one he/she thinks has a good chance of being effective.

I hope this is helpful.
