Question: my neurologis gave up and turn me away

kennyhoang - Tue Dec 19, 2006 2:03 am

I am 24 years old male(asian). I had been having the weird Headache ( 11 months) in the center of my head (lean to the back of the head) the pain is like the toothache in the center and the nunbness is all over my head but the front. It hurt all the time and everyday. Sometimes the pain is not very strong(during sleeping).the pain is likely getting strongest when I try to read something, staring at something, watching TV, walking ( I feel like I am going to pass out, slightly diziziness and falling and my head isnot belong to my body, also having Nausea and vomit. I know that it sound more like something wrong with my vision, but I went to so many eyes doctors and they all told me that there were nothing wrong with the inside of my eyes, and my vision is perfect. I went to my primary doctor and he order me the MRI and my blood work done( thyroid and urine, cholesterost and so on and the test"s result coming back were negative , so my doctor sent me to one of the neurologist who is inthe hospital . My neurologist ordered me the EEG, MRA, MRI with the contract, and the results of those test were also negative. He lets me try some of the medicines for the migrane, tension headage, but I didnot feel any better. What should I do now. THANKS.

I have had simuliar Headaches since June of this year. I have been hospitalized several times and many tests run but they have found nothing. They say I have cluster Migranes. I have to agree since nothing else was found. I have the same symptoms as you, especially the burning, numbness on top of head. It was always in the exact same place until they gave me a shot in the back of my head and then the Headaches moved to all over my head. I used to get them daily and now weekly. I feel the Topomax medication is the one that may have stopped the cycle. Have you tried that? I suggest you get brand now doctor if this one is out of ideas. You are suffering and that what doctors are supposed to do...treat their patients who are suffering, regardless on how long it goes on. Good luck, write and let us know how it goes.
