Question: I need sugestions for help from doc

oldhen - Fri Jan 05, 2007 11:57 am

Hi I am 53 female I had a heart cath Sept 9, 2006 all was fine after till about 2 weeks now I suffer extreme pain in my right groin and thigh. Doctors here think it is a pinched nerve in my back and ordered a MRI.

I am waiting for results anyway I am having a very hard time walking with limping and excruting pain in groin and right thigh I don't think it is a pinched nerve in my back as I have little pain in my back.

What test should I suggest next if the MRI comes back with no pinched nerve? another thing I don't understand why they took a MRI of my back and not my right leg as the leg and groin is where I am hurting. And my doctor won't give me anything for pain.

What is a person to do?
Thanks
oldhen

The nerves arising in back travel down the leg. 'Pinching' in the back can cause referred pain in leg.

This is just to make you understand the 'pinching' phenomenon.

Hope this helps.
