Question: pain behind the eyes

beckvi - Sat Jan 06, 2007 8:26 pm

Earlier this week, I woke up with a Fever and the chills. When the chills subsided, I was very hot, with a massive Headache. I took advil every few hours, but the next day, my Fever had risen to 103. 2. As I live in the virgin islands, my first concern was dengue Fever. But, the 3rd day, I woke up and my temperature was down to 97. 5 However, that was 3 days ago, and I have the most terrible pain behind my eyeballs. It hurts to blink, or to lokk to the side. I also have tension in my temples. I have never had a problem like this, either with my vision, or Headaches. I have never worn glasses. The advil isn't helping. Any suggestions? I hurt! Thank you, rebecca

Hi Rebecca,

I hope you are feeling better now. I am glad your Fever went down on the 3rd day.

Acute onset Headache can be many things. In this case one possibility is acute sinusitis. There really is no way of telling but you should be fine by now.

Best regards,
