 I would recommend a book,
Change Your Brain, Change Your Life: The Breakthrough Program for Conquering Anxiety, Depression, Obsessiveness, Anger, and Impulsiveness by Daniel Amen.
Even though it doesn't sound like it addresses your specific situation it is excellent for showing how past injuries can affect a person down the road - even injuries that seemed to be totally healed. I think you would find it fascinating and perhaps helpful too.
Seeing a neurologist might also be a good idea.
