I recently experienced a strong numbness on the right side of my face from above my temple down to my jaw line, and in the fingers of my right hand. It was severe enough that I sat down until it disappeared.
It lasted for about one minute and disappeared.
If these symptons return in thefuture is it a concern, and is there anything potential cause to follow-up

What you experienced could be the warning signs of a stroke or "CVA" Some signs and symptoms are:
Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes
Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
Sudden, severe headache with no known cause
Even though your symptoms resolved within a short time I would suggenst you get to your physician as soon as possible.
Your Physician can prescribe meds that can decrease your risk of stroke if this is what he determined happened to you.
Good luck.

Well I have a Problem, and I need any answers that can be given. I am 16 yrs old, and I have a numbness problem. Every 3 of 5 day the right side of my body will go numb. It starts at my hand, and the numbness stays at my hand for 5-10 minutes, then it works its way up my arm to my head, and sometimes(rarely) my right leg will go numb. But once the upper half of the right side of my body, including face goes numb, it stays numb for about 5 mintues, then goes away, and after it goes away, i get the worst headache, that lasts all day! Please help me, i've been to a physician, that sent me to a Neurologist, and ive had lab work, MRI, catscan done. Please tell me anything. I need help bad! Thanks so much, Keisha Nicole!
