Question: How long is the wait for scan?

My friend found a lump about 3 months ago and went to doctor who said they would refer him for a scan, that was 2 months ago, he keeps calling and they keep saying they'll send out an appointment but still nothing! How long should it take, is there a long waiting list?

 Hello,
It would be more helpful if you can give us more information about the characters of this swelling like its anatomical site, size, progression or stable in course, if it is painful, any associated symptoms.
Definitely if his Doctor recommended CT Scan, it is mandatory to be done as soon as
possible.
I advise you to follow up with his doctor , he may advise you for another way or another alternative radiological test that can be done sooner.
