I am 23 year old female. Recently I have been waking up with a tight throat and dull ear pain on my left side. I also noticed that my lymph node next to my throat under my chin is swollen. It is movable and I think a bit tender. I don't think it is hard. My throat can also get soar from time to time. I do not have any sinus drainage. Can you tell me why this would be happening?

Your symptoms are consistent with a viral infection or possibly a bacterial infection of the lymph node. If your symptoms are not improving, or are getting worse, over the next few days I would recommend you be seen by your doctor. The bacterial infections sometimes need antibiotics to clear up.
Best wishes.
