Question: Symptoms of pancreatic cancer?

 Anonymous - Wed Oct 15, 2003 10:28 am

Can You tell me please what are some of the first signs and symptoms of Pancreatic Cancer?
Dr. Jeffrey Gordon - Fri Oct 24, 2003 9:01 pm

There may not be any initial signs or symptoms of pancreas cancer until it is in advanced stages. Common problems seen include diabetes as the pancreas malfunctions, blood clots at different sites of the body, abdominal or back pain, abdominal swelling, loss of appetite, loss of weight, worsening general fatigue of an unexplained nature, jaundice if the bile duct becaomes compressed. There is no one particular sign or symptom that is the hallmark of pancreas cancer.
