I am a generally healthy 27 yr. old female. My right breast is a bit swollen, leaking, and the nipple and areola are itchy. My Doctor said it could be a yeast infection. I am not breastfeeding, and I have not taken any antibiotics recently. What could be the possible cause of this? Is there a possibility it could be anything else? Thanks!

You should probably culture the discharge to determine if it is indeed yeast infection or something else. Have you tested your blood sugar for diabetes?
