My boyfriend fell and broke his wrist yesterday. He has a temportary "cast" at this point until we go to see the orthopedist later this week. They told him to ice it as much as he can, obviously, but there is a problem. The cast seems to be keeping the ice from reaching his arm. Are there any "tricks" that we can try in order to help with the swelling and pain?

Hello, Ice can be used even over a cast and it still has an effect even though it may not feel that cold. Do as the doctor advised.
Best wishes.
