Question: Low pants lead to hip problems later?

 dandude - Wed Apr 29, 2009 7:43 pm

I wear my pants very low - well below my waist. My mother insists that it makes me walk incorrectly and that I will have hip or other bone problems as I age. Is this true? Thank you.

User avatar Hello,
Well, this is an interesting question.
Whether you are trying to keep the pants from falling off completely or to make a kind of trendy statement, an abnormal swagger should not cause degenerative changes in the hips.
I am assuming you are not trying to jog in this outfit.

All the best to you.
