Question: Neck pain, dizziness, numbness in face!??!!??!

Hi, I'm new to this group and I'm hoping to find some answers....I had neck surgery for a herniated disk C5-6 in Jan 2005, for a while after I felt so much better and was glad I went thru with the surgery, but now, it's a different story! The severe Neck pain is back, along with the pain into my right shoulder down to about my rt elbow and numbness in my rt hand (ring finger & pinky). These are symptoms I had before my surgery and they have returned and been worse in the past few weeks. The past few days I have been experiencing dizziness when I move my neck any, I've had Headaches up the back of my head, and also numbness that lasts for a few minutes at a time in the right side of my face across to about my lips, it's pretty scarey! When they did my surgery they did a bone graft and put in a metal plate/screws. I ended up in the ER yesterday b/c of the pain, numbness and dizziness, they did an xray and said the placement of the metal plate looks good and they thought that maybe b/c of the all of the pain I've had over the past few weeks my muscles and everything have tightened up and could possibly be pinching nerves??? I have to call my neurosurgeron tomorrow but unfortunately he hasn't been good with the follow up care and pain management. I was doing so much better for a while after my surgery and now it's worse than before I had the surgery! Is it possible to have another herniated disk already!?!?! I was also wondering if I can still have an MRI for my neck with the metal plate in it from the surgery? I have gotten some weird pressure sensations behind my eyes in the past few days since the dizzy spells and numbness in my face have come about. Just wondering if anyone might know what could be causing this and could possibly point me in the right direction to getting it taken care of before it gets any worse....Thank you so much for your time. This is my first visit to this site and I think it's wonderful!
