My 7 year old overslept this morning and I woke him at almost 11am. About 20 minutes after he woke up he started crying saying his head hurt. He has no appetite, but not vomiting. He does take Zyrtec and Singulair for asthma and allergies and has taken them for over a year now with no side effects. Day before yesterday the same thing happened. I have given him Tylenol but it doesn't seem to ease it. Is this something I should worry about? I think I'm overly sensitive to these things because my father had a brain tumor and my nephew an anurism.

Hi Onelildarlin2u,
A child of this age does not typically experience this severity of headache with vomiting. I would strongly suggest an evaluation to rule out any anomalies.
Sincerely,
Theresa Jones, RN
