My son is 6 years old with no other medical conditions. His got bitten by something on the cartilage of his ear and it is quite swollen. I gave him some Benadryl but the swelling didn't go down much. At what point should I become concerned??[/b]

Dog bites carry a very high risk of infection so take your son into his doctor to determine if antibiotics are needed. You should also ascertain that the dog has been vaccinated against rabies so this event should be reported to your local animal control department.
