I was brushing my daughters teeth, she's 1 1/2, and noticed a dark spot on her tongue. What could this be?

Hi Ljolly,
It's hard to say for sure without seeing the spot but it may simply be an area of increased pigmentation of the tongue-basically a freckle.
If the area gets bigger or is changing in any way I would recommend she have this evaluated. Otherwise, it is probably safe to just have her doctor check it out the next time she is in the office.
Best wishes.
