My eight year old was diagnosed with strep throat and now has swollen area in the strenum area. She said it is not sore. It feels like a swollen muscle. Should she seek immediate attention?

Hello, Strep infection requires treatment which I assume she is getting since you have the diagnosis. I would watch the other symptom to see if it subsides. I suspect it could be some swollen lymph nodes present because she is fighting infection. If it persists, see her pediatrician.
Best wishes.
