my son is experiencing pain from his hip.he is 15 yrs old and had perthes from 6 yrs old.he has been discharged but i am unsure how best to manage his pain.he had significant damage to his hip and has been told we have to managethis until he has a hip replacement when he is older.is it best hot or cold therapy,is it best to rest or do non weight bearing exercise?

Hope this helps. It looks like the recommend anti-inflammatory meds to control pain and discomfort, and physical therapy to preserve range of motion are very important.
