My son is 14 years old, He has complained about a sore throat off and on for two months. We don't have insurance so I was wondering if this is something I should go to the free clinic or emergency room for or is it common because we live in LA. Any help would be much appreciation.

A recurrent or a persistent health problem, even if it is mild, indicates a visit to the doctor. It could signify another underlying condition causing this problem to recur or persist.
