Question: Mixing a prescription with an over the counter drug

 dan3418 - Tue Aug 17, 2010 1:59 pm

I am currently taking 60mg of Cymbalta each day. I also take 75mg of Zantac daily.
I also work out on a regular basis and take 200 grams of Whey Protein Isolate ( I weight 210 lb) each day.

Recently I began taking a Creatine supplement called Kreation. It contains the following: Kre-Alkalyn 1500mg, Tyrosine AKG 500mg, Taurine AKG 500mg, Arginine 500mg, Caffeine 300mg, R [+] -Alpha Li[oic Acid (ALA) 100mg, Vanadyl Sulfate 10mg.

The above amounts are what I consume in one serving per day.

Is this bad to mix with Cymbalta?

User avatar Hello,
There is no problem combining the Cymbalta and Tagamet, but the supplements are harder for me to answer. The FDA does not regulate these and so my data is limited. Supplements can vary in ingredients so you take your chances but I see no glaring red flags here.

Best wishes.
