Question: Swelling inside back of throat

My daughter has a sore throat and a swelling in the back of her throat. See picture
on the right side of the picture it looks swollen. Please advise.

has it recently developed or is it something thsat has gradually gotten larger and she has only just told you about?

This, as far as we know, started with this current sore throat these last two - three days.
