Question: switching from paxil cr to effexor

I'm currently on Paxil CR 25mg & will be switching to effexor soon. What is the equivalent dose of effexor?

Has anyone had to switch from paxil to effexor and how did it go? Did you have any side effects or problems with the switch?

Dear Quinnn:

Effexor 150 mg would be roughly equivalent. I haven't personally switched anyone from Paxil to Effexor, but if I were to do so, I wouldn't particularly expect any problems.
