Hello, i am a smoker and recently my anxiety has been coming back pretty badly. ive always smoked and it never bothered me until recently. suddenly i am having anxiety as soon as i start smoking a cigarette. slight feeling of nausea and harder heart beat. 5 minutes after i stop its fine. i am 19 and ive been smoking for about a year. whats going on?

Hi Sil3nt,
Nicotine causes stimulation of the central nervous system, increases heart rate and blood pressure, constricts the arteries and increases breathing rates, etc.
