Does anyone have any information about Lithium Carbonate manufactured by Able being recalled from Walgreen's? My pharmacist has no information for me on why this was recalled. Thanks in advance for any info.

 Julieh,
Lithium by several manufacturers has been recalled due to an insufficient amount of the drug being released, it is not a dangerous recall, other than bipolars may not be getting as much medicine as they need. If your doctor hasn't already heard about the recall, alert him/her of this as soon as possible, get a blood level and go from there. :D

Thanks Ilovepatients, I appreciate the help. Do you know if there are companies who manufacture lithium carbonate that hasn't been recalled?

I don't know the specific companies that are involved in the recall. Perhaps you could contact your local pharmacy and ask them?
