I had back surgery when I was 13. I'm now 21 years old. I have metal rods and bone chips in my back. I've been wanting to do Cage Fighting/MMA for a while now, but my parents said with the surgery I had it wouldn't be safe. Is it safe to do this type of sport with the surgery I had?

Hello, I think that you should first get back to your surgeon and have your condition re-evaluated.Only then, your surgeon will be able to decide about an answer to your question.Your parents are rightly concerned.Your consultation with the surgeon will also help to allay their apprehensions as well. Cheers!
