My partner recently had septoplasty (deviated septum) surgery 48 hours ago. Can he use the neti pot now, before the doctor removes the splint on Wednesday, to clear out his nasal passages or should he wait? Thank you.

Hi, Certainly, he should wait until his ENT surgeon permits him to do so.
Using the 'neti pot' too early may lead to infections or even unintended trauma which may even end up with a possible septal perforation.
Surgery on the nasal septum is a very delicate surgery, performed with lots of patience and meticulousness. For it to be successful, patients also should reciprocate by showing at least some patience. Best wishes!
