I just had a larposcopic appendectomy 2 days ago. There is yellow puss coming from the wound in my belly button. Is that normal or should I go back to the doctor?

Hi, It is rather too early for a surgical site infection(2 days after surgery). However, since you notice something like pus, you must return to your surgeon and the surgeon would perhaps request a culture of the discharge and start you on a course of empirical antibiotic therapy. It is better not to neglect this finding. Best wishes!
