Hello,
I wanted to know when it is safe to have sex after Laparoscopic gallbladder surgery. I am a young and healthy female and I am in shape. There are 4 small inscisions with disolvable stiches. I just wanted to see how long to wait until it is safe.

Hi, There are no known universally accepted guidelines regarding this aspect.
You have not mentioned when exactly you underwent the procedure.
If the cholecystectomy had been a planned ('elective') procedure, had been 'straightforward', no other procedure had been performed concurrently, you don't have any associated co-morbidities, and the port incisions (as determined by your surgeon) are healing satisfactorily, early routine sexual activity should not generally cause any significant harm if performed in such a way as not to cause undue increases in the intra-abdominal pressures and if precautions are taken to avoid direct pressure on the incisions or to disturb the incisions in any way.
The decision regarding this is best left to your surgeon. Best wishes!
