During my pregnancy I developed hemorroids, at home remedies always took care of them. Recently, they have flared up and have gotten pretty bad. At my annual exam, my ob/gyn prescribed a prescription to help the pain. This has helped, but the swelling doesn't seem to be going down. What is a reasonable amount of time to continue with the prescription meds? Bleeding is also an issue during bowel movements, how much blood is too much? Is it time for me to make an appt with a surgeon?
