Question: urine smells like sweat

My fiance is a 35 year old male. He is having problems with dark smelly urine and his sweat smells like urine. What could these be symptoms of? He is currently taking vicadin for Back pain and does not have any past surgeries or health problems.

I would recommend your fiance have a general check up and some screening liver function tests including ammonia. Occasionally, if the liver isn't processing compounds correctly they can build up in the blood and be excreted in the urine. Other possibilities include some renal problems (less likely) or this could be normal. Best wishes.
