Question: Mole removed-dark spot now
|Svenlacrosse - Tue Dec 15, 2009 6:26 pm||
I had a mole removed and theres a dark brown spot left behind where the mole was. Will this go away? Thanks

Hello,Most superficial moles are removed with out residual pigmentation.I guess you had a shave excision.After removal there may be some amount of residual pigmentation which is flat and pinkish but would disappear in a couple of weeks.Heavily pigmented moles some times could recur and so it would be prudent to get examined again, if it persists beyond a month.Best wishes.
