Hello,The skin has a lipid protective layer. This protects against chemicals and allergens from causing harm.Frequent washing, using harsh detergents on a long term basis, chemicals in work place can weaken this layer leading to what is known as cumulative insult dermatitis.Early stages may present with wrinkled dry skin. The prevention of this would mean taking precautions like use of barrier cremes and avoiding excess cleansing.Glycerine containing cremes are useful in early stages.Good nutrition with BCarotene containg foods or suppliments may be very useful.
