Question: Celibacy: inducing impotence, decreasing libido; how do I?

 straight - Tue Jun 22, 2004 12:46 am

For those of us who strive to be celibate: Is there a way to cause impotence and loss of libido, save castration and health risks? (No, I'm not on any medication for psychological illnesses/disorders).

You could try masturbation.

User avatar Hi straight,
Have you found the answer by now?
I am a recent member of 'Doctors Lounge'.
Firstly, what do you mean exactly by celibate?
Do you mean 'choosing to remain unmarried' ( the old meaning) or
do you perhaps mean 'refraining from sex' ( 20th century interpretation)??
It has everything to do with self control. If a person is dedicated to achieving 'celibacy' (either of the two meanings alluded to)...
'controlling the mind' is perhaps the answer.
If you feel that 'you can not control your mind', then the options are fairly obvious...Only you have to choose. You may not find a true expert in these matters that easily.
Good luck!
