Question: Concerning semen consistency

 graz1 - Thu Jul 19, 2007 2:20 am

I'm a 20 year old healthy male. Since as long as I can remember my semen has been strange - its a heterogeneous mixture of a clear-ish, thin fluid and opaque white-ish "chunks". My ejaculate consistency is very consistant, and the amount if what should be expected, maybe a touch more.
Is this normal? Healthy? A potential symptom of a complication, dietary deficiency, or impotence?
Thanks for your time and help.

User avatar Most likely it is normal. Semen consistency can vary a lot. If you are not having pain, etc. there is probably nothing to worry about.

If you do want to have this evaluated, a urologist would be the specialist to see.

Best wishes.
