Question: cocain and infertility

 apoletta - Mon Feb 21, 2005 12:08 am

Could a male who has previously concieved within the past year and a half has a cocain addiction for over 6 year of 7 grams/week become infertile because of his continued drug use? If so is the infertility reversable if the drug usage is stopped?

User avatar Hi apoletta,
Cocaine, heroin, crack, marajuana etc. may all induce infertility. It is not impossible to reverse this with lifestyle changes. Your health care provider would probably suggest this change as the first treatment option.
