Question: pain medication & colonoscopy
|susieQ1 - Mon Nov 05, 2007 8:50 am||
What pain medication is usually given with Versed when a colonoscopy is done? Thanks.

This varies a little depending upon the GI specialists preference. The procedure is not a painful one. If one is used it often is for its sedation properties. In this case, a short acting narcotic such as fentanyl is often used.
