Question: Bloody Stool

I just found a bright red tint in my stool, like around my actual stool in the water. It wasn't there before I sat down. Also my right and left side underneath my lower ribs hurts. Is it my colon? what could it be?

How's the cough you were complaining about previously? As for the the blood in stools that can happen if your stools were straining too hard. Straining can cause an injury to the rectum or anus. If you were not straining then you should get it checked out as soon as possible especially if it recurrs. Do you have a fever?
