Question: Birth Control Pills and Synthroid
|SR6691 - Tue Mar 24, 2009 8:30 pm||
Im 17 years old and I'm starting to feel that i should begin taking birth control but I was diagnosed with a thyroid problem and so i have been taking Synthroid for a couple of years now and i feel that the birth control pill might interfere with it, i've looked at other sources and i've seen that some say yes and some say no and if yes then they have to be taken at different times, so my question is, can i take birth control pills while i take synthroid ?

There should be no problem with taking birth control pills and synthroid together. It should not matter if you take them at the same time or at a different time either. There are no cautions to this effect.
