Question: Menstrual Cramps when not menstruating

 linnyloo - Sun Aug 02, 2009 5:34 pm

I am having cramps that feel like menstural cramps; however, I am not menstruating and am not supposed to for another 2 weeks.
I am taking the same birth control pill that I have been taking for more than a year and have never had this problem before until the last few months this seems to be a normal thing. Usually ibruprofen takes care of it, but I was just wondering what could be causing these "random" cramps.

User avatar Hello,
Some women cramp with ovulation and this can be intermittent. It is also possible to experience cramping with a urinary tract infection or bowel activity. You should be able to ride it out for a while and if it does not resolve, see your doctor.

Best wishes.
