Question: swiming during period

 danadana - Mon Aug 03, 2009 2:03 am

is it ok for your health to swim in public pools?
Debbie Miller, RN - Sat Aug 08, 2009 7:33 pm

User avatar Hello,
You may swim in public pools if you use tampons. However, you should change the tampon before entering the pool and when you get out again; not delaying since it is a possible entry for bacteria. If your flow is especially heavy and a super tampon won't hold it, avoid the pool.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes.
